U.G.C. has the ability to laser mark, engrave and vaporize most all materials such as anodizing, plastic and steel. We can work with most ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Laser Marking (Engraving) is good for reproducing logos, text, images, serialization part numbers and bar codes. Laser marking works great in many applications and industries, including metal engraving services for industrial parts. We also offer industrial surface grinding solutions to support precise pre-marking preparation when needed.

Many of the components that O.E.M.’s produce need permanent identification without impacting material characteristics or surface finish. We have the expertise and equipment available to customize our process for even the most complicated applications. This is especially important in fields like aerospace part marking, where accuracy and traceability are essential.

Laser marking offers impressive benefits over conventional marking methods. Our laser produces a significant amount of energy in a small confined area (as small as .005″). This focused energy is far greater than that achieved by any other process as it heats, engraves or vaporizes within a precise area. In combination with blanchard grinding services, we can support flat, even surfaces for consistent laser results.

Manufacturers of parts unsuitable for laser marking can utilize laser marked identification plates. These are commonly made of stainless steel, anodized aluminum, steel or adhesive backed plastics. Our metal engraving services can also be applied to these tags for high durability and contrast. We also support industrial metal finishing as a post-process option for enhanced part protection and aesthetic.
